Why We Built This
CompTIA certifications open doors — Security+ alone is required for most DoD cybersecurity roles and correlates with salaries averaging $82,000–$90,000 a year. But here is the reality: the exam voucher costs $404, the pass rate hovers around 70%, and most students give up before they even sit the test.
The existing tools make it worse. Static question banks feel like homework. Premium platforms charge hundreds for the same bland experience. Video courses are great for learning concepts but terrible for building exam-day recall. Students know they should practice more — they just can’t force themselves to open the app.
We built SecuSpark because we were those students. Frustrated with boring prep, anxious about wasting a $404 voucher, and convinced there had to be a better way. The answer was simple: make studying feel like playing a game, not doing a chore.
