I have ADHD. Traditional studying never worked for me. I could build a game in a weekend but couldn’t read a chapter for twenty minutes. So I stopped trying to fix my brain and started building an ADHD-friendly study tool that works with it. SecuSpark is gamified certification training designed for how your brain actually learns. Think RPG exam prep where every CompTIA practice question is a boss fight.
Age 12 (2012)
I was twelve years old, teaching myself to code and making Flash games. By 2014 I had published three on Kongregate — Warriors Battle, Idle Walk, Castle Idle — with 50,000+ plays combined. I was hooked on making things people couldn't stop playing.
College
Studying was impossible. Textbooks felt like staring at a wall. I could build a full game in a weekend but couldn't focus on a chapter for twenty minutes. My mind wouldn't stick to things that didn't fight back.
The Realization
The games I couldn't stop playing used the same psychology my brain was starving for — instant feedback, visible progress, escalating challenge. What if learning CompTIA material used those exact mechanics?
2025
I built the ADHD-friendly study tool I wished existed. RPG battles instead of flashcards. XP instead of checkmarks. Character evolution you can watch. AI that explains your mistakes like a patient tutor. Studying that finally feels like playing.
ADHD brains have lower baseline dopamine. That means we need stronger, more frequent reward signals to stay engaged. Traditional study methods — re-reading notes, highlighting PDFs, watching hours of video — starve the ADHD brain of exactly what it needs. Game-based learning gives it back.
When tasks use game-like feedback, ADHD learners' inhibitory performance matches neurotypical peers. SecuSpark gives you XP the instant you answer correctly — your brain gets the dopamine signal exactly when it needs it.
Retrieval practice produces large gains in long-term retention compared to re-reading or re-studying. Every question in SecuSpark is active recall — you're not passively absorbing, you're pulling knowledge from memory under pressure.
A meta-analysis of 38 studies found gamification produces significant cognitive learning gains (effect size g = 0.49). That's not marginal — it's a real, measurable improvement. The RPG structure gives your brain enough reward momentum to push through the hard parts.
Progress bars, levels, and quests externalize what ADHD brains struggle to track internally. SecuSpark turns invisible progress into something you can see, touch, and obsess over.
This isn’t gamification bolted onto a quiz app. The RPG is the learning system. Every mechanic maps directly to a proven study technique.
Immediate Dopamine Reward
Every correct answer = XP. Your brain gets the hit it needs to stay engaged. No waiting for a grade at the end of the semester. No delayed gratification your ADHD brain can't process. Instant. Every. Time.
Stakes-Based Recall
When an enemy is attacking you, suddenly remembering port numbers feels urgent. Your brain treats it like survival, not homework. Each of our 103 enemies represents a real cybersecurity concept — you're not just answering questions, you're fighting threats.
Visible Progress
Watch your character evolve through 30 stages. Progress you can literally see. From a tiny translucent slime to an elemental powerhouse. Every study session changes something visible — and your brain loves that.
Social Accountability
Real-time battles against real players with ELO rankings. Suddenly you have a reason to study tonight — because someone out there is grinding to take your rank. Competition turns passive learning into active obsession.

Born in Poland, raised in Maryland. I’ve been building stuff for the internet since I was 12 — started with Flash games, got hooked, and never really stopped. Got my CS degree from Bowie State, did ML engineering at Adobe, built tools for the DoD, and worked at several startups building everything from healthcare platforms to AI lead-gen systems.
I’ve shipped 24 projects across healthcare, defense, finance, education, and cybersecurity. Most of them solo. SecuSpark is the one I’m most proud of because it solves a problem I actually have — my brain doesn’t do textbooks, so I built something that works the way my brain does.
