SecAI+ is CompTIA's AI security certification, launched in February 2026 as part of the Expansion Series. It validates the skills to secure AI systems, use AI to enhance security operations, and apply AI governance, risk, and compliance — aimed at professionals with Security+/CySA+-level experience.
The exam covers four domains: Basic AI Concepts Related to Cybersecurity (17%), Securing AI Systems (40%), AI-assisted Security (24%), and AI Governance, Risk, and Compliance (19%). It uses multiple-choice and performance-based questions, with a maximum of 60 questions in 60 minutes and a passing score of 600 on a 100-900 scale.
CompTIA recommends 3-4 years of IT experience and approximately 2 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience — roughly Security+, CySA+, or PenTest+ level. There are no formal prerequisites.
