How Many Questions Are on the Security+ Exam?

Questions come in two formats: multiple-choice (single and multi-select) and performance-based questions (PBQs). PBQs are interactive simulations that test hands-on skills; commonly reported examples include configuring a firewall rule, analyzing a network diagram, or matching security concepts to scenarios. CompTIA doesn't publish how many PBQs you'll get. Candidates commonly report 3-5 PBQs, typically at the beginning of the exam.
