SecuSpark March 2026 Update: PvP Arena, Clan Fortresses & 103 Enemies

It has been a big month at SecuSpark. We shipped PvP duels with ELO matchmaking, a full clan fortress system on a world map with 7 biomes, and hardened the battle engine with 34 new RLS tests. Here is everything that landed.

PvP Arena: Test Your Knowledge Against Real Players

The most requested feature since we launched is here. The PvP Arena lets you challenge friends directly or get matched against opponents at your skill level through ELO-based matchmaking.

• Direct Challenges — Send a duel invite to any player. They answer the same questions you do, and the battle engine scores damage based on accuracy and speed.
• ELO Matchmaking — Queue up and get paired with someone within 200 ELO points. Everyone starts at 1000. Win streaks push you up fast.
• Weekly Leagues — Compete in week-long seasons. Your league placement resets every Monday.
• Pending Rewards — After a match, XP, rank changes, and achievements are presented in a single summary screen.

The entire PvP system runs on the same unified battle engine that powers PvE encounters. Your stats (Precision, Agility, Fortitude, Luck) matter in duels just as much as on the campaign map. Clan Fortresses: Build, Upgrade, and Defend

Clans got a complete overhaul. The old list-based clan UI is gone, replaced by a pannable top-down world map with 7 distinct biomes:

• Greenlands — Central starting region
• Stonewatch — Northwest mountain fortifications
• Frosthold — Northern tundra
• Embervale — Southeast volcanic terrain
• Shadowmere — Southwest dark forests
• Crystalshore — Southern coastal cliffs
• Verdant Depths — Eastern dense jungle

Each clan claims a region and builds a fortress that evolves through 10 tiers, from a humble campfire to a legendary stronghold. Inside your fortress, there are 7 rooms: Great Hall, Barracks, War Room, Vault, Quest Board, Trophy Hall, and Council Chamber.

Battle System Hardening

The battle engine got several under-the-hood improvements:

• Text-pattern defense — Matching-type questions now use a dedicated defense path, fixing edge cases in damage scoring.
• Question filtering — Questions with zero correct answers are now filtered during seeding for both IndexedDB and the PvP question pool.
• Security fixes — Input validation improvements across battle API endpoints.

103 Unique Cybersecurity Enemies

The enemy roster sits at 103 unique pixel-art creatures, each themed around cybersecurity concepts. From script kiddies to advanced persistent threats, each enemy type maps to specific certification domains. Enemy HP determines encounter endurance and enemy ATK determines punishment for wrong answers.

• RPG Aesthetic Revamp — Free tools pages now carry the same RPG visual language as the rest of the app.
• Landing Page Rewrite — Conversion-optimized CTAs gated behind signup.
• SEO Fixes — Resolved GSC indexing issues and hardened robots.txt.
